About the Group of 87
The idea of bringing together our brothers of G87 through a whatsapp group was initially discussed between Deen and Ghazali Dole about three years ago. However this was materialized only last year when Deen, Ghazali and Uzman formed a whatsapp group on 29th June 2016.
Initially, there were very few members and within a day we managed to add a substantial number of members. That is when we decided to organize a re-union. Then we needed volunteers to organize it. Some members who were in a position to devote time for the group came forward and organized it. Initial meeting related organizing the event was held on 7th July 2016 attended by Deen, Navrooze, Rusan, Shiraz and Uzman.
At the Re-union everyone was given an opportunity to put forward their idea. Thus the Group of 87 was formed officially on the 7th of July 2016. Official website of the Group http://www.zcc87.com was launched on this date. Highlight of the evening was the live streaming of this event to be viewed by the members who are residing overseas.

Based on the discussion on the day of the re-union we identified a few potential members who were to be initially appointed to the executive committee. I.J. Deen's name was unanimously proposed to be the President of the group. Three other committee members were proposed by the group members to be office bearers.
In Sha Allah G87's inaugural AGM will be held on the 3rd of September 2017. We intend to appoint new committee members and new office bearers on that date. We appreciate your physical presence to grace this occasion.
Our Objective
- Help batch mates addicted to drugs to overcome those challenges and be useful to their Families
- Help batch mates who are in need
- Educate the people and kids based on what they want to be in future
- Conduct volunteer training sessions. Help job seekers in securing placements in various fields
- Identify the skills of those who need help and help them through that channel
